Hi, thanks for finding your way to my website. Let me introduce myself. My name is Christine Lorentzen and I’m a March 2022 Functional Medicine Coaching Academy graduate. I’m a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach who is now working towards attaining my National Board Certification (NBC-HWC) for Fall 2023. I’ve dealt with my own chronic illness most of my life and am finally at a place where I can put my experience to work in helping you achieve your best health.
A Health Coach is an empathetic and supportive advocate for a client to achieve better health in whatever that looks like for them.
Coaching is client focused and directed.
A coach can offer support and resources, as necessary, and work collaboratively with a clients healthcare team.
A health coach is a guide for behavior change. They help facilitate change in modifiable lifestyle areas such as Sleep, Nutrition, Exercise/Movement, Relationships, Stress Management.
The coach empowers the client to take charge of their health and the two work together as a team.
They support clients by helping them mobilize their internal strengths and can offer external resources when necessary.
FOR CLIENTS WITH TICK BORN/CHRONIC ILLNESS:
It’s additional support between practitioner visits that can help to clarify protocols and help to explain and implement them on a day to day basis.
A Coach can advocate and communicate with the practitioner on the clients behalf if that’s agreed upon.
It is more affordable than additional practitioner visits.
Helps to focus on the clients strengths, values, and vision of health to help motivate and get the client through often challenging treatment.
FOR PRACTITIONERS:
Coaching gives ongoing support to clients between office visits.
It improves understanding, implementation and compliance of treatment plans.
It cuts down on calls/emails to you due to confusion on protocols & treatment.
It can help busy practices have more success in patient treatment outcomes.
